Renovations
BMF understands that getting maximum benefit from a renovation requires two things:
Effective Planning
Speed of Execution
Effective Planning means:
Established strategic priorities for product categories. This means deciding which categories should be dominant, competitive, convenient or be eliminated entirely.
Designing a store layout which provides a good balance between customer space and inventory intensity. Products, customers and staff need to flow efficiently thorough the store. Customers need to be exposed to as much product as possible. Staff need to be readily accessible to customers. Product needs to be move easily to the shelf and overstock needs to be readily accessible. Security and safety are also important considerations.
Creating a merchandising plan which allocates space appropriate to strategic priorities assigned to each category and creating product adjacencies that make the store easy to shop in order to maximize sales. This plan includes the optimal use of fixturing and merchandising accessories to deliver impactful display of merchandise, create labour efficiencies and make it easy for staff to maintain order long after the renovation is complete.
Develop a signage plan that helps customers orient themselves and creates a powerful image and inviting shopping environment.
