The BMF Story
When Rob Wilbrink Founded Burlington Merchandising & Fixtures (BMF) in 2003, it was to fill a void he believed existed in the industry. His goal was to create a turnkey solution for independent dealers who wanted to renovate their stores.
BMF’s first customer was Castle Building Centres, and to this day, Castle is still BMF’s largest single account. More recently, BMF has broadened its retail customer base to include Home Hardware, TIM-BR MART, Sexton and Lowe’s, as well as a number of leading industry vendors.
In 2008, BMF purchased the assets of the Store Fixture Group in Cambridge Ont., which gave it access to an expanded supply base and proprietary componentry. In January of this year, BMF moved to a new 15,000-sq.-ft., state-of-the-art facility in Burlington, Ont. Its 30-foot ceilings make it ideal for BMF’s distribution needs and for storing vendor inventory it uses to build displays to order. To protect this product, the building is fully secured with blanket camera surveillance and selective card access.
